Project Bradford

Project Bradford has been created by Photographer, Tom Smith, and aims to promote a positive image of Bradford and raise money for the Bradford Burns Unit.

For the past four years Tom has taken images of positive things going on in Bradford and met some truly inspirational people doing great things right here in the city. He now plans to put these images and the great stories into a book, and for the pictures to be shown in a gallery. The project is inspired by the fairly negative view that people have of Bradford and wanting to challenge that by promoting a side of the city rarely seen in the media.

Tom has chosen to donate to the Bradford Burns Unit as this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Bradford City fire disaster, something that has affected so many people in Bradford.

Bradford City Football Club, and the fans, feature in the book alongside many other people that the city can be truly proud of.

A funding page has been set up to raise the costs needed for publishing the book. By donating, contributors can chose a reward, such as a picture or a book, and then once the book is published 100% of money raised will be given to the Burns Unit.

It is a project not only designed to promote the positive side of Bradford but also to create something positive by raising money for such a worthy cause.
