BDFC's Northern Ireland Trip

This is my blog about the Northern Ireland trip that myself and the rest of Bradford Disability Football Club went on see title. I was a really god trip that everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I know that I certainly did.

Here we go I’m now going to tell you exactly what we got up to during our time In Northern Ireland. First we all met up at different times and at different places that were ideal for people that were going on the trip to get to. For example, Keighley, Bingley Bradford City and last but not least Cedar Court.

We then went on to Liverpool to catch the ferry across to Belfast Northern Ireland where we were competing in the tournament. After 8 hours on the ferry we finally got to Northern Ireland where we went to the accommodation where we were staying during our time in Ireland. All the accommodation was a university campus I thought it was really thought out the reason for this was that it had about 3 or 4 block of flats and a building which was on the bottom floor a bar area and on the top floor was a restaurant diner.

we then unpacked all our cases in the rooms we were staying in after that some of us went to Belfast to the Euro 2016 fan park to watch Republic of Ireland Vs Italy. The match ended in a 1-0 win for the Republic of Ireland. The fan park in Belfast was really good because there was a disabled platform so me and the rest of the lads from BDFC as well as parents and careers were all stood on the platform.

The next day was the first day of the two-day tournament which was grading games to see the ability of each teams taking part and which leagues are suitable for them. During the grading games I scored 3 goals which I thought was good. I scored my three goals then I decided to play the rest of the grading games in defence during my time in defence I made a number of goal line clearances a bit like Stephen Darby and Rory Mcardle do for the real Bradford City.

73 teams played during and below is how each of the BDFC teams got on during the tournament;

Team 1 came 5th out of 5 teams.

Team 2 came 3rd out of 5 teams

Team 3 came 3rd out of 6 teams

Team 4 came 2nd out of 6 teams

Team 5 came 3rd out of 6 teams

During the day all the teams that took part got plenty of football during the two-day tournament.

The next day we got up and boarded the coach we were traveling on and we went to the ferry port. When on the boat we watched a euro 2016 or even two I can’t remember LOL.

It has been a really enjoyable trip once again and I would just like to thank everyone who went to Northern Ireland for such a great trip.

Bye for now readers
